Dish – Classic Chili with Sweet Potatoes
Nothing says fall in Texas like some good ‘ole chili. This Whole 30 recipe probably resembles your mamas classic chili, but adds in sweet potatoes for some extra fiber, vitamins, and fall flavors.
Drink – Bullet Proof Chai Latte
Have you ever heard of bullet proof coffee? It is a way to give your body fuel that is rich in nutrient-dense, blood-sugar stabilizing fat (1) by switching out your typical sugars and creams with grass-fed butter, coconut oil or MCT oil, and bone broth collagen powder. You can also bullet proof the fall staple chai latte. All you need is water, chai tea bags, grass-fed butter or ghee, coconut or MCT oil, vanilla extract, heavy whipping cream, and stevia powder.

Activity – Carve Pumpkins and Make Them Last
Carving pumpkins is a fun activity for kids AND adults! If you want to get a head start, but are concerned they won’t last through Halloween there are a few things you can do to help preserve your carved masterpieces.
- Apply a thick coat of petroleum jelly (to keep firm and moist)
- Apply a generous amount of borax powder onto your pumpkin (will prevent mold)
- Rub in a layer of peppermint castile soap (to keep moist)
- Apple a layer of clear acrylic paint (creates a nice gloss)
- Shine with floor wax
